Tammy Nguyen was born in San Francisco in December of 1984. She received her B.F.A. from the Cooper Union School of Art in New York City. Her work is inspired by a rapidly growing collection of knick-knacks and images. Ms. Nguyen aspires to be a storyteller of her self-invented folklore. She is currently in Vietnam as a Fulbright Fellow working on a project about oil and lacquer painting.
Ms. Nguyen is a little here, a little there, but mostly there.
